FAQ's

How many people can stay?

The maximum number of people entitled to stay at this property is 5 and, only those people named on the booking form can stay.

How much is the deposit?

Once you have decided to stay a booking deposit (25% of holiday cost) is payable within 7 days of the provisional booking. Once the deposit has been paid in full and the funds have cleared your holiday is secured.

When do I pay the balance of the holiday?

The balance of your holiday is due 8 weeks before your stay.

What time can I arrive, and where do I get the keys?

Every effort will be made to have the property available from 2pm on the day of arrival. Information about keys and how to collect them will be provided once full payment has been received.

What time do I need to leave on departure day?

Please leave by 10am on the day of departure. Late departure will result in an additional charge being made. Information about keys and how to collect them will be provided once full payment has been received.

Should I clean before I leave?

At the end of the holiday we ask that the cottage is left in a clean and tidy condition. We do retain the right to make an additional charge for cleaning should it not be left in a similar condition to the way it was found at the start of the holiday. Please treat the cottage as you would your own home.

Is there a Breakage deposit?

Yes, it is £125 payable 8 weeks before your holiday.

When will I get my Breakage Deposit back?

Your breakage deposit, minus any deductions, will be returned to you within 2 weeks of your departure.

What do I do if I need to Cancel my stay?

Cancellation of your booking should be made in writing for the attention of Julia Hunter and emailed to : hello@norfolkcoastline.co.uk We will attempt to re-let the cottage and if we can, a discretionary payment may be returned to you. We strongly recommend that you take out holiday cancellation insurance to protect yourself in the event of you needing to cancel. 

How much will it cost me if I need to cancel?

If you cancel at any time after paying the 25% deposit, your deposit will not be refunded.

If you cancel with:

  • 6 weeks or less notice it will cost you 30% of the holiday price
  • 5 weeks or less notice it will cost you 40% of the holiday price
  • 4 weeks or less notice it will cost you 50% of the holiday price
  • 3 weeks or less notice it will cost you 75% of the holiday price
  • 2 weeks or less notice it will cost you 85% of the holiday price
  • 1 weeks or less notice it will cost you 100% of the holiday price

What happens if I forget to pay by the due dates?

If you don't pay the deposit or balance of the holiday by the date that it is due it will be mean that you have cancelled your stay. Please be sure to note the due dates of payments as reminders are not routinely issued.

Can I bring my dog?

Yes, you certainly may! However your beloved pooch must be house trained and only 1 dog is allowed, unless previously agreed (otherwise a breach of contract will be deemed to have taken place).

Can my dog sit on the sofas?

Yes, but If you do, please make sure that the sofas are covered with the fleeces provided. This ensures non doggy people will still love our cottage as much as you do. Dogs are absolutely NOT allowed on the beds.

Can I leave my dog alone in the cottage when I go out?

No. Your dog must NOT be left unaccompanied in the property at ANY time.

What happens if my dog chews something?

You are liable for all damage caused by your dog or any dog belonging to the your party. A charge will be made for any additional cleaning required. We cannot be held responsible for any accident or injury to your dog during your stay.

What do I do if I want to complain?

We try hard to make sure your stay with us is memorable for all the right reasons. Sometimes things do go wrong, and in this situation you must let us know as soon as possible, so that we can try to correct the problem. Please let us know if you are unhappy about something and we will make every endeavour to rectify any identified problems as soon as is reasonably possible.

What happens if I break something?

Accidents happen, but please let us know if anything has been damaged or broken before you depart . We do retain the right to make an additional charge for damage and breakages, but this is entirely at our discretion (minor breakages and reasonable wear and tear will not be charged for).

How much do I pay if my stay is in less than 8 weeks time?

You will be asked to pay the full holiday cost at the time of booking if your stay is in less than 8 weeks time.

What is the longest time I can book for?

The maximum time we allow for a booking is 4 weeks, or 28 days.
